USA survey for anyone who wants to improve Denver TMAU test

begun : Dec22
end : no ending for now

A trainee genetic counselor is working at the Denver TMAU test lab. Probably as part of her training. As a project she wishes feedback on any aspect of the Denver TMAU test and process. You can fill in the survey and/or email her (email address is in survey). It's meant for USA people, but perhaps others can give their view too (as we have so few opportunities).

quote from her rareconnect post

"Hello all! I wanted to make you aware of a research study being conducted to better understand the experience and needs of individuals with trimethylaminuria with a goal of being able to create improved patient and healthcare provider education materials. Any participation is completely voluntary and all responses remain confidential. Feel free to use the contact information within the link with any questions or share the survey with others with TMAU."

Preview of things to come: South Beach 2009 Meet-up

Welcome to Miami
Bienvenidos a Miami!

Jess and I met this past Thursday at South Miami Beach to discuss the initial preparations for our South Beach 2009 Meet-up. We enjoyed each other's company over lunch at a sidewalk café on this lovely autumn day. As we contently enjoyed the cool ocean breeze, we discussed how to best accommodate our very dear friends from this very special community. Jess has great organizational ideas, and we decided to take pictures and a video so that you can all get an idea of what to expect.

By the time we got around to taking the video, clouds were forming as if preparing to bring upon us the typical afternoon showers as the weather turns from the warmth of summer to the cool of winter. You will see these clouds in this video, and unfortunately, you will also hear the wind blow as well.

Cabel blessed this video with his inspirational song entitled, An Embrace Eternal. He also gave us another song for the slideshow presentation that we are in the process of preparing of all the pictures we took that day of South Beach, and others I had previously taken of Surfside, Bal Harbour, and Haulover Beaches. Here is Cabel’s explanation of his song selections,

The slower song with the acoustic guitar is something I recorded in my apartment several months back. The other is a song my old band recorded in Louisville...my daughter even has a cameo in this song (I recorded her one night when she was a baby trying to say her name, 'Siddha'...but it came out like Sid da da da da).

I called the acoustic song An Embrace Eternal

The more up-tempo song was called Vicarious Shorelines. We used to play it live all of the time.

Thank you Jess and Cabel.

ENJOY EVERYONE!
