MEBO MIAMI SOUTH BEACH MEETUP 2012

Although we are still five months away and the final arrangements with the hotel are still taking place, I would like to announce that the MEBO Miami South Beach Meetup will take place over the weekend of June 22nd through the 24th of this year.

MEBO has been offered a special group rate for our meetup by the Hotel Marseilles, but anyone wishing to attend would need to wait until the arrangements have been finalized and for our group to be added in the hotel's computer system. I am announcing the dates the event will take place so that anyone wishing may make their transportation arrangements at this time for lower air fares. I have personally visited this hotel and was shown their recently renovated rooms, which are very nice. Even though I have asked that our group be assigned these renovated rooms, I recommend that when calling to make reservations, make sure the reservationist makes a notation on your reservation that you request a renovated room.

The Marseilles Hotel is an original Miami Beach Art Deco style boutique hotel with typical architecture and design features of the 1940's. The Marseilles Hotel has all the peculiarities of the Art Deco style - vertical emphasis and a combination of flat and curved walls, use of glass blocks, neon, cove and porthole ceiling lighting and cast iron railings. While you stay with us, discover the Marseilles' delightful art deco ambiance and see how the past has been preserved to its original beauty.

This hotel location couldn't be better, especially for the price. It is on the north side of South Beach, which is walking distance from the more noisy clubs, sidewalk restaurants and cafe of South Beach and Lincoln Mall, but distant enough that the loud noise will not disrupt your peaceful nap on the hammocks under the palm trees or your good night sleep. Everything is walking distance, including the beautiful warm waters of South Beach.

The following is the agreement MEBO has made with the hotel. The hotel will initially hold 10 rooms for us, and therefore, it will be necessary to guarantee your room as soon as possible, so that if we need more rooms, they will be available with early bookings. Credit card information is taken at the moment the reservation is made to guarantee the $99/night rate, and charged in full at the time of check in (please see extra fees below). The contract is being drawn and signed this week, and soon thereafter, you will be able to make your reservations.

The following are the terms of our group rate:

$99.00 Marseilles

Net, non-commissionable, plus tax, per room, per night

Single-Double

Extra person $10.00 per person, per night

If 10 rooms pick up we can extend one Junior Suite upgrade at no additional charge (where we will meet on Saturday)

Porterage $5.00 pp round-trip - mandatory

Breakfast coupons for use at the hotel’s restaurant offered at a special group rate of $14.00 per person inclusive, per day for Full American Breakfast – plated.

No resort fee

Cancellation 30 days
