As I look through the 80 posts of the 'MEBO Community' part of the MEBO Blog, I thoroughly enjoy all the meetups we've had since 2008 in London, Miami, Memphis, Nashville, and Washington DC. This part of the blog is about our activities as a community, as opposed to the science of our various disorders. It is more of the fun part as we enjoy each others creativity in music, videos, art, etc.

I can't help but marvel at all the accomplishments noted in this blog of sufferers who have volunteered their art, music, books, written articles in professional magazines, participated in designing the MEBO website and the MEBO blogs in multiple languages, etc. Their efforts to raise awareness of life with a medical condition that produces difficult to control odor only inspires others to express themselves in their very own personal way. Some of the sufferers, such as Abe, Cassie, Claire, Ellie, Jason, Karen, Cheryl, Lisa Marie, Sonya and others are inspirational to me and to the rest of our community. They bring us hope in their sense of community and in their dedication to help us all.

We can no longer say that nobody is doing anything for us. WE have taken over, and we are doing it for ourselves! We have empowered ourselves to think of ways that we can contribute to this cause in order to be better understood by society in hopes to find an effective treatment and a cure. This is only the beginning. We have only just begun.
