USA survey for anyone who wants to improve Denver TMAU test

begun : Dec22
end : no ending for now

A trainee genetic counselor is working at the Denver TMAU test lab. Probably as part of her training. As a project she wishes feedback on any aspect of the Denver TMAU test and process. You can fill in the survey and/or email her (email address is in survey). It's meant for USA people, but perhaps others can give their view too (as we have so few opportunities).

quote from her rareconnect post

"Hello all! I wanted to make you aware of a research study being conducted to better understand the experience and needs of individuals with trimethylaminuria with a goal of being able to create improved patient and healthcare provider education materials. Any participation is completely voluntary and all responses remain confidential. Feel free to use the contact information within the link with any questions or share the survey with others with TMAU."

Arun's invitation to the Thames Festival 2008 meet-up next Saturday & Sunday 12pm onwards, outside the Guoman Tower Hotel next to Tower Bridge

Hi guys, it’s Arun here.

I hope that many of you can make it to our group meet-up here in London next weekend, that’s the 13th and 14th of September 12p.m. onwards outside the downstairs cafe of the Guoman 'The Tower' Hotel, Tower Bridge, London. Both days the meet-up will be until around 5pm.

I’m expecting roughly 10 members in all. This will be an informal meet-up more like a coffee afternoon, really.

And we can chat about what test we have done, what diet and products we’ve tried, and which ones works. There’s no specific agenda and members can just chat or sit and listen depending on what they feel comfortable with.

The meet-up has been arranged to coincide with the Thames Festival 2008, which is on that whole weekend.

So for those who stay ‘till evening, there’ll be fireworks on the river, floats carnival, barbeque.

Call me on my landline for a chat if you like, and I’ll give you some more details.
That’s 01 375 484 269.

See you then, ciao, bye.

The group will sit under the blue umbrella all afternoon

Aruns MSN post in 2005 about a previous meetup and how usually sufferers cannot smell each other

I guess you will have also heard me mention that most of us are COMPLETELY unable to smell each other despite the range of odors present (sweaty odors, drain-pipe odors etc). Well, actually, 2 out of us 10 of us could but that is still a small percentage. Don't misunderstand me here guys...we can smell all odors perfectly apart from ours! We don't generally have a problem smelling odors!!!
