Her role as a pioneer of TMAU awareness cannot be underestimated. 10-15 years ago when those with metabolic malodor were internet nomads ending up on the few 'normal' body odor/halitosis forums there were, she was giving out her name, address and phone number. At that time perhaps only Cheryl and Arun were known names to the online community. Every post was done in an uplifting selfless manner. She attended any TMAU awareness campaigns she could, including the MEBO meetups and a visit to Washington, as well as appearing on TV and newspapers.
She is now at peace with her beloved daughter.
In this 2012 MEBO video funded by the community, we see her as she always was, supporting the community and educating all about TMAU. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Keep your heads up and remember there is no other option than to be POSITIVE, UPBEAT, & FAITHFUL! smile emoticon

Oh my gosh, I am so sad to hear this. She definitely was a big force in those early days. I remember talking to her through email many times.
She was always so positive and uplifting.
She will be missed.
It's really sad to hear that Cheryl is no longer with us. She was very active in the TMAU yahoo groups, she was very supportive of other fellow sufferer by giving her phone number and email, I'm sure she helped a lot of people, may God bless her soul.
Such sad news. I have watched her video multiple times.
My condolences to you Maria and her family. I never had the pleasure to interact with Cheryl. She was very positive and knowledgable in the TMAU community. RIP Cheryl>

I remember her from when I used to be on the online messageboards 10-12 years ago. I always wondered where she got all her strength from, such an inspiration. My condolences goes out to her family and friends.
