USA survey for anyone who wants to improve Denver TMAU test

begun : Dec22
end : no ending for now

A trainee genetic counselor is working at the Denver TMAU test lab. Probably as part of her training. As a project she wishes feedback on any aspect of the Denver TMAU test and process. You can fill in the survey and/or email her (email address is in survey). It's meant for USA people, but perhaps others can give their view too (as we have so few opportunities).

quote from her rareconnect post

"Hello all! I wanted to make you aware of a research study being conducted to better understand the experience and needs of individuals with trimethylaminuria with a goal of being able to create improved patient and healthcare provider education materials. Any participation is completely voluntary and all responses remain confidential. Feel free to use the contact information within the link with any questions or share the survey with others with TMAU."

Great Progress in the MEBO Raising Awareness Campaign in the UK and Spain

MEBO is constantly pursuing research into other causes of body and breath odor conditions while moving forward around the world with our Raising Awareness Campaign. We are very happy to announce how this campaign is alive and well in the United Kingdom, with the sizeable Research Grant Awarded by the Medical Research Council for a TMAU Therapeutic project. As an Information Officer of the Medical Research Council tells us, this announcement will soon to be published in the Research Councils UK Gateway to Research site, http://gtr.rcuk.ac.uk/.

In addition, the Raising Awareness Campaign has also picked up in Spain, where the government hsa declared 2013 The Year of Rare Diseases in Spain. The rare disease organization in Spain for rare diseases, Federación Española de Enfermedades Raras,(FEDER), assisted in the writing of an article on TMAU, Una vida marcada, in the Madrid paper, La Razón. In this article, Dr. Amaya Belanger-Quintana, M.D., Nutritionist, Nuria Pardillo, and a sufferer who has been very instrumental in this campaign in Spain were interviewed, and the condition and protocol was explained in great detail.

It is through the Raising Awareness Campaign that we are empowered to be more effective when we pursue research grants.
It is only when sufferers like sufferer interviewed in the La Razón article in Madrid, and like Karen in the UK come forward and volunteer to be interviewed, to make phone calls to experts, government agencies, politicians, and the press, that we spread the word about body and breath odor conditions. This is the only way that the medical community and the public at large will understand and take us seriously. It is through the Raising Awareness Campaign that we are empowered to be more effective when we pursue research grants.

You can help MEBO's Mission by supporting the MEBO International Raising Awareness Campaign by becoming a proactive volunteer bringing forth creative ideas of projects you can create and be a part of, participating in the MEBO TMAU Test, and/or by making a donation to MEBO Research using the PayPal button below.

My thanks go out to our international community for all you do for this cause.
