Metametrix is a test lab well-known for following the philosophy of Functional Medicine. Genova Diagnostics is another such lab, perhaps more closely associated to FM. But Metametrix has used the internet better in what should be the aim of medicine ... to get sufferers better. They are using the internet to educate readers as much as possible. One such way is using videos both to understand their tests and to learn about the problems they test for.

In this video, Richard S Lord makes a presentation to an audience at an FM conference about the Metametrix GIfx stool test. Stool testing has been a staple testing selection for gut dysbiosis conditions in FM (bearing in mind the main medical system doesn't test for dysbiosis). The most recent advance in stool testing gut microbiology has been microbial DNA detection in the stool sample. Metametrix GIfx seems to be the first example of such science in dysbiosis stool sample tests.
